University of Tartu offers tuition-waiver scholarship for pursuing masters degree level. The Scholarship is provided to study in EU-Russian Studies. The EU and non-EU applicants can apply for this scholarship. Ten tuition-waiver scholarships are offered which cover the full tuition for 2 years of the programme. Scholarship Description: Tuition-waiver scholarship allows students to attend publicly funded higher education institutions by “waiving” tuition and fees under certain criteria. If you receive the tuition-waiver scholarship you have to start paying the tuition fee only if you fail to study full time. A full-time student is supposed to get 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS per academic year.

What does it cover? A full-time student is supposed to get 30 ECTS per semester and 60 ECTS per academic year. The payment threshold is 6 ECTS: if you get 24 ECTS by the end of semester, you do not have to pay yet. However, you need to get 60 ECTS by the end of the academic year: credit points are calculated cumulatively per semester. If you get 20 ECTS by the end of semester, you have to pay for 4 ECTS on the basis of the invoice prepared at the beginning of the next semester.
