Postgraduate and Undergraduate Fisheries Scholarships, New Zealand

Postgraduate and Undergraduate Fisheries Scholarships, New Zealand

In collaboration with National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA), the Ministry for Primary Industries is offering Fisheries scholarships for New Zealand students. These scholarships are available for pursuing a postgraduate and undergraduate programme at any New Zealand university. The Ministry for Primary Industries wishes to develop this area of research, as there is a shortage of trained quantitative graduates in New Zealand to undertake research and contribute to the sustainable use of fisheries. NIWA, the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research, is a Crown Research Institute established in 1992. NIWA’s mission is to conduct leading environmental science to enable the sustainable management of natural resources for New Zealand and the planet. Applicants with a strong quantitative background, particularly in applied statistics will be favoured.

  • Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate programme at any New Zealand university.
