PGSM Scholarship Program to Follow Study Abroad

The Foundation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris is offering master degree scholarship for international applicants for 2016-2017 academic year.It is a foundation of scientific cooperation and received the seal of approval of Réseau Thématique de Recherche Avancée (Thematic network of advanced research), or RTRA, granted by the French government to scientific projects of outstanding merit. The Foundation Sciences Mathématiques de Paris is the only recognized network of excellence in France in mathematical sciences.Students’ tutors may propose non-French speaking pupils to be helped in English and may guide them to follow some training to learn French as a foreign language.

Degree Level: Scholarships are awarded to learn master degree programme.

Subject Offered: Scholarships are available to pursue any of the courses offered by the university.

Eligibility: Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications to be eligible for the Doctor of Medicine Scholarships:

  • This year, this programme is available for students who wish to follow their study in the first or in the second year of master
  • Students who followed their degree course out of France can apply to this programme.
  • This programme is only available for students who can benefit from the French social coverage sor students. Thus, for the ongoing calls for applications (2016-2017), only applicants born after October, 1st 1989 are able to apply to a M2 scholarship (or October, 1st 1990 for a 2-year scholarship).

Eligible Nationalities: International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirements: Applicants should be bachelor/ master students who wish to follow their study in the first or in the second year of master.

English language Requirements: Students’ tutors may propose non-French speaking pupils to be helped in English, and may guide them to follow some training to learn French as a foreign language. It is wisely advice for students who do not speak any French to undertake some intensive training before the beginning of the school year, in their host university.

  • Bachelor/ Master Certificate and school reports M1/M2
  • Letter(s) of recommendation(s): do not forget de mention (step 4 of the application process) the e-mail address of the professors who wish to send recommendation letters. They will receive an automatic email to upload their letter.

Scholarship Benefit:  The laureates of PGSM International receive a scholarship of 1100 euros per month. Laureates of M2 will receive a scholarship for 10 months + 2 months if they want to do a doctorate in France. However, M1 laureates will receive a 12-month scholarship.
-Computer
The laureates will be given the possibility to buy a computer up to 300 euros until October, 31st 2015 for the new laureates only (from the 2015-2016 call for application).
-Transport and accommodation
Accommodation in student’s residence under preferential conditions. Students from this programme benefit from student price for the students’ cafeteria. Furthermore, we reimburse the price of return ticket from appplicants home country to Paris (one return ticket in economic class per year)
