MA Bursary in Political Science at University of Manchester, UK
University of Manchester is offering MA Bursary within the School of Social Sciences for the year 2016. Students of all nationalities are eligible to apply for this programme. The UK’s Home Office requires that every student from outside the UK and the European Union (EU) must show evidence of a minimum level of English language (called B2 level) in order to be granted a UK visa (Tier 4 visa) to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level.

- Bursary is awarded in Political Science – Governance and Public Policy Pathway (Professor Martin Burch Bursary)
- £1,000 bursary (to be taken off the fees due) for the best application to the MA in Political Science – Governance and Public Policy (Research or Standard Route).
Eligibility Criteria:
- The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for these Bursaries:
Applicants are required to have 2:1 (or overseas equivalent) in a Social Science subject.
Eligible Nationalities: Applicants of nationalities are eligible to apply for this bursary.
Entrance Requirements:
- Applicants must hold an offer of study at The University of Manchester before applying for this funding. Applicants must have an Upper Second class honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a social science discipline.
English language/ Test Requirements:
-IELTS – overall score of 7, including 7 in writing with no further component score below 6.0
-TOEFL IBT – overall score of 100 with 25 in each section.
-TOEFL code for Manchester is 0757
-Scores are valid for 2 years.
-For students who require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, their test score is valid for 2 years preceding the date that their CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) is issued. CAS statements will be issued from June-September 2016.
