JGC-S Foundation Scholarship, Japan 2016
Tokushima University is inviting students to enroll in the graduate school of science or technology. The scholarship will be awarded to self-financed students from the oil and gas producing countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and Mekong area. The JGC-S Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to students of all nationalities committed to studying at a university or college in Japan. Since 1968, we have supported more than 16,000 students from over 54 countries. In 2007, they granted scholarships to 145 foreign students. The Graduate School of Advanced Technology and Science was established to allow students to study what they learned as undergraduates with greater specialization. It comprises three colleges and twenty-one courses. Through the master’s and doctoral programs, students can engage in advanced research taking a long term perspective, improving their knowledge and skills as researchers. Whether student need Japanese language skills depends on each school. Some schools require quite a high level of Japanese language, while there is a program offered in English only. Except for the English-only graduate program, the language basically used in classes is Japanese.
- Scholarship is available for pursuing graduate programme.
- Scholarship will be awarded to students who enroll in the graduate school of science or technology.
- The amount of scholarship is ¥150,000 per month.
Eligibility Criteria: In order to apply for scholarship, applicant must follow the given criteria:
- Self-Financed students from the oil and gas producing countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and Mekong area (please check the list.)
- Students who enroll in the graduate school of science or technology
- Students who do not receive other scholarship
- Students whose age is under 35 in principle (at the time of application)
Eligible Nationalities: Students from the oil and gas producing countries in the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, South East Asia and Mekong area are eligible for this scholarship.
Entrance Requirement:
Students whose age is under 35 in principle (at the time of application) can apply.
Test Requirement: No
English Language Requirement:
Whether student need Japanese language skills depends on each school. Some schools require quite a high level of Japanese language, while there is a program offered in English only. Except for the English-only graduate program, the language basically used in classes is Japanese.
Documents Required: Application sheet (There is the field to record the results of the physical exam. Note: Ask a doctor to fill in “physical examination” or attach a copy of the medical certificate.
