2016 Leo Baeck Fellowship for International Students, Federal Ministry of Education and Research – Academic Foundation – Leo Baeck Institute London is inviting applications for Fellowship Program available for international applicants. The program will appeal to doctoral students who carry out their research in several countries. It is open to students from all nationalities and of all universities worldwide. Fellows receive a stipend of 1,150 EUR per month. For this purpose usually comes a monthly research fee of 100 EUR. For research and conference trips abroad monthly allowances and travel allowances may be applied for in addition. Tuition fees are not covered. The application deadline is February 1, 2016.

- well above average university degree
- Issue date of the last university degree not before February 2013
- Admission to doctoral studies
- Promotion project in the field of history and culture of German-speaking Jewry
- A parallel application for a regular PhD scholarship from the Study Foundation is not possible

Application Procedure: The mode of applying is by post and electronically. An application consists of the following documents in German or English language:
- completed application form
- Motivation letter in which the interest is acquired by participating in the program (1 page)
- curriculum vitae with information on education, extra-curricular interests and language skills
- Photocopy of the degree certificate with individual scores of the tested subjects
- Description of the research project (5 pages)
- Schedule for the academic year 2016/17, including any research trips
- Letter of recommendation from the supervisor / supervisor of the doctorate
- second letter of recommendation
Deadline: The last date of submission of application is February 1, 2016.
